Louise Callin- A.D.I.S.T.D
Louise is a professionally trained singer/dancer all the way from Surrey in the UK. She started dancing at the age of 3 at a local dance school and at 16, got accepted onto the Jazz Dance and Commercial Theatre Course with full scholarship at Elmhurst School of Dance, most commonly known now for being the feeder school for Birmingham Royal Ballet. Louise graduated in 2004 with a National Diploma and also her Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Associate qualifications enabling her to teach and enter children for exams. Since graduating Louise has been lucky enough to dance as part of the entertainment program at Sydney Olympics, Backing Dancer for Chaka Khan at the Mobo Awards,TV and film appearances including Captain America, Thursford Christmas Spectacular and 4 years Louise took her performing career around the world on P&O Cruises MV Arcadia, MV Aurora and MV Oriana. Louise has danced with Diamond Entertainment in Auckland and still tries to perform occasionally. In between Louise's performing she has been able to follow one of her biggest passions which is teaching. Over her 15 years of teaching Louise has acquired extensive experience at various local dance schools in the UK teaching pre schoolers through to adult, entering children for exams with 100% pass rate and choreographing routines for the All England Dance Competition. Now Louise has made her move to Waiheke she is hoping to pass down her knowledge and skills at LEAOD and to offer an academy on the Island with a high standard of dance and open the doors to some exciting opportunities for the children of Waiheke.

Olivia Holland - RAD
Olivia is from the UK and trained at the Royal Ballet School in London, where she was awarded the Classical Ballet Award for Endeavour and became Head Girl. She was then offered a scholarship to Elmhurst School for Dance to complete her training, where she won the Annual Solo Competition two years running and the Artisans' Cup for Excellence in Performance, whilst training in many styles, including contemporary, jazz, and tap. Olivia reached the semi-final in RAD Genee Awards in London and Young British Dancer of the Year as a student, also performing with Birmingham Royal Ballet. She completed all her RAD exams with Distinction and gained a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance. Olivia created the leading role in Andrew McNicol’s Ballet Chocolat for National Youth Ballet and has most recently danced professionally with Royal Ballet of Flanders and Northern Ballet performing across the globe in Paris, Venice, Belgium, Japan and China. Olivia has volunteered in workshops for young dancers at Theatre Royal Bath and the Royal Ballet School. She is also a keen artist, painting dancer’s in beautiful watercolour commissions. Olivia is looking forward to passing on her experience at LEAOD and sharing her passion for dance.
Teacher - Contemporary
Manon started dancing at three years old and studied Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet and Contemporary at Rose McRae Dance Academy on Waiheke. She has successfully completed exams to Advanced level in multiple dance styles.
Manon began learning NCEA dance as a subject at school, allowing her to explore choreography and imagination in her dance. She has has a variety of leadership opportunities at High School including being Head Choreographer of the School film and the school Stage Challenge performance. At the age of fifteen Manon started dancing with us at LEAOD taking multiple class a week and successfully securing a place on our competition team 'Showteam'. Manon has competed to an elite standard and was Team Captain of the 'Veins' troupe which recently got through to the finals at Nationals.
As Manon continues her journey of dance, teaching and choreography, she is excited to attend Auckland University on their Dance Studies Course which incorporates both dance research and practice. She will get the opportunity to study a variety of dance styles, but have a focus on contemporary dance, choreography, indigenous dance and contemporary technique. This course will give her the chance to experience a variety of dance related career pathways as well as grow as a dance teacher and performer.
